At the Mossel Bay Association of and for Persons with Disabilities (MBAPD), we are dedicated to creating a world where every person with a disability is valued, supported, and empowered to live with independence and dignity. We work hand in hand with individuals with disabilities and their families to break barriers, challenge stereotypes, and foster an inclusive society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

We advocate for measures that prevent or minimize the impact of disabilities and improve quality of life.
We support access to medical, educational, vocational, social, and rehabilitation services that empower individuals with disabilities to live independently.
We work to create a more accessible environment by addressing physical, legal, and attitudinal barriers that hinder full community integration.
We promote the availability of assistive devices and resources necessary for greater mobility and independence.
We provide social work services, special care centers, and workshops designed to support persons with disabilities and ensure equal access to essential services.
We educate the public, raising awareness and fostering a deeper understanding of disability issues to encourage inclusion and respect.
We collaborate with key stakeholders, forming strategic partnerships to strengthen support networks and enhance the services available to individuals with disabilities.
We engage with local authorities to influence policies and planning decisions that positively impact persons with disabilities.
We promote skills development and training programs to ensure that individuals with disabilities receive the necessary support from well-trained professionals.
We maintain strong communication and collaboration with the Western Cape Association of and for Persons with Disabilities (WCAPD) and other service providers to ensure best practices and continued support.
We uphold the principles of non-profit governance, operating with transparency, accountability, and a deep commitment to social impact.
MBAPD serves all persons with disabilities up to the age of 60, along with their families, within the Mossel Bay municipal district of the Western Cape, South Africa. Our goal is to create a community where every person, regardless of ability, is embraced, empowered, and given the opportunity to lead a fulfilling life.
