At Mooiuitsig, every skill has value—adults with disabilities are creating, growing and contributing, building confidence, purpose and a stronger community.
Three local homes became safer and families felt supported when Mossel Bay APD and community partners turned Mandela Day into meaningful action.
The Mossel Bay Association of and for Persons with Disabilities recently awarded a Certificate of Thanks to Susan Muir, Treasurer and member of the Management Committee (ManCom), in appreciation of her ongoing commitment and service.
Mossel Bay APD is pleased to welcome Jackie Rezant to our team as our Social Worker.

On 6 February 2026, the staff of Mossel Bay Association of and for Persons with Disabilities(MBAPD) gathered for a relaxed and joyful braai at the Mossel Bay APD premises. It was a simple moment, yet a deeply meaningful one — an opportunity to pause, connect, and say a sincere thank you.
The gathering, which included a shared braai and a variety of salads, was made possible through the generous sponsorship of the Municipality and the Mayor.
Mossel Bay APD would like to extend sincere thanks to Mr Willem from Growing Hope Every Nation for the generous donation of a JoJo water tank and for personally installing it at our premises.
The JoJo tank has been installed at the Mossel Bay APD building, which is also home to the iLitha Lethu Day Care, situated at 2 Alpha Street, Heiderand. This support comes at a crucial time, as water restrictions are currently in place in Mossel Bay.
Employees of Mossel Bay Association of and for Persons with Disabilities (MBAPD) recently completed a first aid training course aimed at strengthening their emergency response skills, with a strong focus on assisting children. The training took place on 10 and 11 February and was presented by Metro Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
